Dr. Kari Shea – Bassoon

Dr. Kari Shea has performed throughout the United States and Europe with such ensembles as the Forest Philharmonic in London, England, the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, the Baltimore Opera, the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, the Mississippi Symphony and the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, in addition to chamber concert series in France, Sweden and Nova Scotia. Currently teaching at Anne Arundel Community College, Dr. Shea is a core member of the Mid-Atlantic Symphony orchestra and is the orchestra manager, music librarian and principal bassoonist for Live Arts Maryland. She has served as a faculty member of Millikin University and Frederick Community College. She holds degrees from the University of Illinois (D.M.A.), the State University of New York at Stony Brook (M.M.), and the University of Southern Mississippi (B.M.ed).
